Perdikkas II was king of Macedonia from 453-413 BC. By astute diplomacy Perdikkas survived rebellions in Upper Macedonia, invasion by Sitalces, and intervention by Athens and Sparta, and succeeded in uniting Macedonia and diminishing the Athenian control of his coast.
